SUBJECT: Invitation to Bid – Rehabilitation of West Kingfield Road and Riverside Street
The Town of Kingfield is requesting bids for the rehabilitation of West Kingfield Road and Riverside Street.
Bids must be received at the Kingfield Town Office located at 38 School Street, Kingfield, ME by 4:30 PM on June 24, 2024. June 25, 2024, at 11:00am bids will be publicly opened and read. Attendance of the bid opening is not mandatory.
The project includes the following work: Rehabilitation of approximately 17,500 linear feet of West Kingfield Road in Kingfield, Maine. Improvements include pavement milling, gravel base, new pavement, drainage improvements and all else indicated on the Contract Drawings. The project also includes the following work: Rehabilitation of approximately 6,500 linear feet of Riverside Street in Kingfield, Maine. Improvements include pavement milling, gravel base, new pavement, drainage improvements and all else indicated on the Contract Drawings.
The issuing office is Maine Highlands Development, LLC and Bidding Documents must be obtained at the following designated website: www.kingfieldme.org/road-construction. Bidding Documents may be obtained beginning June 10, 2024, and may be downloaded from the designated website at no cost. If necessary, hard copies can be requested through Maine Highlands Development, LLC by way of email: robert.lightbody@mainehighlandsdevelopment.com. There will be a cost of $175 each set (plans and specs.) made payable to Maine Highlands Development, LLC. To be considered a responsive Bidder, the Bidder shall have obtained at least one set of Bidding Documents using the name that is to appear on the Bid Form.

A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday June 17th, 2024 at the Town Office located at 38 School Street, Kingfield, ME. Representatives of the Owner and Engineer will be present to discuss the Project. Proposals will not be accepted from Bidders who do not attend the conference. It is each Bidder’s responsibility to sign in at the pre-bid conference to verify its participation. Bidders must sign in using the name of the organization that will be submitting a Bid.
