The Town of Kingfield is looking for a full-time year-round Road Commissioner to supervise and assist in the various operations of the Public Works department.
This position is a semi-skilled manual labor job for the municipal Highway Department. Duties include but are not limited to ditching, patching potholes, replacing culverts, and the like, in addition to other all-around Town maintenance/repair and tasks. The position is also responsible for plowing and all related road and sidewalk clearing during all snow events, departmental budget and the supervision of various works performed by subordinates. Mechanical skills and/or training are preferred. A clean driving record and at least a Class B CDL driver’s licenses is required. 3 years driving experience with Class B license is preferred. The position requires a practical knowledge of road construction materials and methods, construction equipment operation, and the ability to read and interpret engineering road plans. Work is performed with general independence under the supervision of the Town Manager.

Seasonal Public Works Truck
Driver/Laborer
The Town of Kingfield is accepting applications
for a Truck Driver/Laborer in
the Public Works Department.
This seasonal
position has the potential to become a full-time year-round job with benefits. Seasonal position begins December 1 and ends
April 1.
Qualified candidates must perform semi-skilled
manual labor, lift heavy objects and work in a variety of weather conditions.
Overtime is required during storms. Duties include operation of light and heavy
trucks and motorized equipment, road maintenance, plowing, snow/ice removal, sidewalk
clearing and maintenance, and other duties as needed.
A high
school diploma or equivalent GED is required. Background in winter operations,
including plowing, sanding, and equipment upkeep/maintenance is ideal. Position
requires a driver with Class B CDL.
