The Committee’s purpose is to guide the expenditure of TIF funds earmarked for the Village Enhancement Plan accepted at the Annual Town Meeting June 2011. The Village Enhancement Committee has been active in pursuing that long range objective.
The committee had concentrated their efforts for over two years on Sidewalk Lighting to coincide with the Route 27 Reconstruction.
In more recent events they have been researching items such as historic signs on buildings already appearing on a Historic Walking map, the creation of an online application for a historic map, possible picnic area beside the Carrabassett River and more.
