Kingfield Historical Tour
Kingfield, incorporated in 1816, is a beautiful historic village set amid incredible scenery. Routes 27, 16 and 142 meet in the center of town, 20 miles north of Farmington and just south of Sugarloaf mountain. Home to three museums, Kingfield has history for all. The Stanley Museum celebrates Stanley family genius, inventors of the Stanley Steamer car. The Ski Museum of Maine looks at the history of Maine winter sports and if you happen to visit on a Wednesday in the summer, stop by the Kingfield Historic House to experience rural home and town life through the centuries.
Over 200 historic properties line the streets, some listed on the National Historic Register.
This map: Kingfield Historic Tour Map 11-4-19 identifies many of these historic properties.
We ask that you respect the privacy of those living here and please keep your tour within the public ways.
