Old Business:
Status of the frozen water lines and the well – do we need to remedy?
Status of Mike Allen bringing trash to the TS?
How is the new backhoe working out?
Discuss a maintenance plan for the new backhoe. Include board expectations for TS Manager.
New Business:
Cardboard baler:
1) Where can we sell the baled cardboard?
2) What price can we get for the baled cardboard?
3) What is the cost to handle, load and deliver the bales to the buyer?
4) What is the initial cost to purchase the baler?
5) What will the end result be when we figure in the amount of savings we should see if Waste Management doesn’t have to haul as many loads of compacted recyclables?
6) Will need to know the average weight of cardboard we put into the recycle container every time it fills up and is hauled by WM. Then we can compare that to the amount of baled cardboard we can haul in a trailer.
Public Comment and Other:
Election of officials (Chair/Co-chair) at the September meeting.
Renewal of Transfer Station Operation Agreement at September meeting.
Next Meeting: Quarterly (every three months) unless the need arises to call a meeting. September 28th; January – TBD, March 28th, 2024; June 27, 2024. These dates are the third Thursday of the month.
